I have a table where I want to store pictures of buildings. In the table is an 8 character string account code, and a location and building code (number). Also, an OLE OBJECT field for the picture (a jpg image about 67kb each kept in c:/my documents/pictures/name####.jpg).

The digital camera numbers the jpg filenames sequentially. Can I enter the filenames directly into the table (such as J0000233, J0000234, J0000235...)? or with code? Right now I am rightclicking and browsing, selecting the file, selecting "link" as the option, and not selecting "Display as icon). With a hundred buildings, this takes a while. Is there a better way?

Also, it shows "Microsoft PhotoEditor 3.0 Photo" in the field. Can I show the actual filename?

Also, is there a better program to use with these images. PhotoEditor has not been the easiest to use).
