Hi,

A client wants me to save her files as .jpeg rather than .jpg.

How would I do this in PhotoShop 5.5??

Thanks in advance [shadeshappy]

Hi,

There is no difference in these two file formats other than the fact that when computers were evolving they only used three character file extensions where as now you can have many characters.

To do this you have a couple of options:

-1: When saving select JPEG from the dropdown, then name the file and include the file extension yourself (ex- file.jpeg)

-2: Just save all the file with a name and don't worry about the extension. Then goto the folder and goto START MENU|RUN|COMMAND When you are in the DOS prompt you should see it say C:\THEN WHATEVER FOLDER YOU HAVE OPEN. Then simply type:
REN *.JPG *.JPEG

Then that will rename all the files with extension .JPG to .JPEG

Hope this helps! NATE
