I've got a Microsoft Precision Pro joystick. And according to game controls in the control panel - the joystick is there and functions.

However I have a dos game I play, Fighters Anthology - that when I was on Windows 95 or Windows 98 it would work perfectly - it does not seem to get recognized within the game.

I do have the game set for win95 (tried win98) compatibility also.

Any ideas?

A quick search on the web suggested using the drivers for a CH Flightstick PRO. You can get the DOS drivers at What ever changes are made to you autoexec.bat and config.sys files when you install the dos drivers you will need to duplicate in autoexec.nt and config.nt these can be found in you winnt system32 folder.

Thanks for the reply.

What did you search under? all of my searches turned up just stuff to get the joystick to work in Win2k - which it does - but to work at the MS-DOS level it is not.

The drivers did not work unfortunately. "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!"

Have you considered having a dual boot machine? This enables you to run more than one version of windows from a single harddrive. You could install win95/98 and then play your game from their. If you want more info on how to do this then feel free to post back.

thanks gpalmer, i've ordered a new joystick - this kinda gave me the excuse to do so - but if this doesnt work either - than I'll have too do the dual boot (as much as I hate too). "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!"
