Journal writes over it self every night in Micros 3700

Hello,

I am running Micros 3700 and i want to save the journal entry nightly so I can reproduce checks from previous dates. It just saves as jrnl.txt nightly over writing the previous days data. Is there a way to save it with a date stamp or something?

Yes i can load you up the Journal Rotate and Name file. Your installers should have set it up.

I created a .bat that was created as an external program and added at the end of the day

change the extension to ".bat" put it in the "journal" folder, create a folder named "backup".

do not forget to add a step in the autosequence as an external program to call the file (External-interface program Windows- working directory = "d: \ micros \ res \ pos \ journals"

command line "d: \ micros \ res \ pos \ journals \ audit.bat
