Joomla 3.1.5 installation creating sub folder under domain ?

I posted a question similar to this a month ago I believe, basicaly I wanted to install the Joomla CMS under the domain

http://www.bsplumbandelectric.co.uk

I FTP'd across all the installation files from the Joomla Folder (1 level down as instructed) inside the domain folder 'bsplumbandelectric.co.uk', successfully created-connected to my mysql db and again its doing the same thing.

I now have

http://www.bsplumbandelectric.co.uk/bsplumbandelectric/

Is there a way I can ommit the directory created 'bsplumbandelectric' and have joomla install under just the domain name ?

if so how is this achieved ?

By uploading the files to the root directory instead.

hi Chris, the root directory in this case would simply be 'public_html' right ?
