joining to a domain

Logon Failure: unknown user name or bad password
error message

any help will be apreciated

Well, I dont want to point out the obvious, but could this be a wrong username or password?

Check that you are entering it in the right case and you havnt knocked the Caps Lock by accident or somthing.

Have you tried using a different account to sign on to the network? have you tried using THIS username and password to access the system from another client, it could be a case of a corrupt profile or somthing.
