I have a 2003 server that had been a standalone server (workgroup) with local user accounts and shares. I want to join the server to a 2003 domain, my question is will the shares and user accounts from when it was a standalone server (workgroup) still function?

Thanks

If you just make it a member server in the domain the local user accounts and shares will still work. If you make it an additional AD server they will not.

Thx, I thought it would keep the previous shares and user accounts but thought I would verify it. I then can change all the shares and access over to doamin groups and then removes all the local users and groups.
