Hi,

I'm have two queries that cannot be reproduced in FM that I need to join. Instead of using the results from the existing queries, the sql it creates has five statements, each to repull the data without fully limiting the data, (the campaign table is limited by campaign, but the interaction table isn't limited in any way).

The end result is a query that processes for several hours before timing out. The original two queries take about 40 seconds in total to process.

Is there any way to force COGNOS to use the results from the first two queries?

Thanks,
-Paul

Hello, the first question is why can't they be reproduced in FM?

Could you create SPROCs that use the required SQL statements and crate SPROC based query subjects in FM? You could then re-publish and use them in Query Studio.

Each campaign has slightly different requirements in terms of aggregation, summarization, and so on. We tend to have several different campaigns running per month, so instead of adding to the framework each time, I'd like to be able make the required changes in the template report.
