joining dashed or dotted lines.

hi,

i was just wondering it was possible at all to join (or more accuratly "fill") dashed lines in illustrator (or freehand). i got a file with series of dashed lines (in fact, it's a map with height lines, some dashed, some not) and would like to export in a dxf format.

the problem is, exporting it in dxf only takes the "full" (continuous) lines...

...the dashed line operation is found in the stroke palette, turn this off to get a filled line or solid line...

...dxf format won't allow dashed lines in my experience from illustrator, i believe there are plugins available to assist dxf export more accurately...
