Joining 5.5 Site-Get logon failure on SRS for a WEEK Please Help!!!

This is a long Post, but Please HELP!

I have a new AD domain with a 2k member server, which will be exchange.

I configure the adc, and it works. I even changed a few things on the 5.5 server and it replicated over.

I have granted the Exchange Services group the Service Account role on all three levels of exchange.

The domain admin from each domain is in the others domain local admin group.

The ExchangeAdmin account I created is in the Enterprise/Domain/Schema Admin groups.

A few notes on my setup:
1) My 5.5 server is the only exchange server no other sites
not connected any other servers.
2) There is an Underscore in the domain name. This is to
simulate my live enviorment.
3) The 5.5 Service Account is teh Built-In Administrator
account. Again to simulate my live enviorment.

I have formatted and rebuilt the machines in my lab 6 times now. I always get the exact same log entries in the exact same spot at exactly the same part of setup!

I have been experiencing the exact same thing, did you ever find any kind of resolution for this?

So I just wanted to pass along that we ended up giving the lab another go last night and what I realized was that previously we had mistakenly (and, frustratingly, repeatedly) used the Exchange 2000 *SP3* version of the ADC instead of just the Exchange 2000 version of the ADC before we installed Exchange 2000. Last night we did it correctly, using the appropriate version of the ADC, and everything came off without a hitch. Not sure I'm ready to proclaim from a mountaintop that there was a causal relationship, there, but I just wanted to let you know what happened so that you can maybe take a look at your own process and see if you are doing something similar.
