How do I go about giving a user rights to add a workstation to a domain? I don't want the user to be an Admin or do anything more complex than simply joining the WS to the domain.

Group policy is your best friend.

Specifically Domain and Domain Controller, under access right.

you wil have to delegate the rights to the users. I think this is an unsafe practice because any shnook will be able to join your domain. it better to just join them yourself using an admin account. you'll probably spend many hours just fielding help desk calls from fools who don't have a clue about how to join a domain anyway.so, take the time and do it yourself- your network will be secure, it will be less aggravating, and the job will be done right.
