Hi

I have 2 separate csv files one with multiple headings and one with just 2 headings, both have one heading with the same name and data underneath.

I want to create just one file from both files. Could someone point me in the right direction, I tried merge but this failed.

Any ideas how to please. Thanks

load onto a sql table
strip headers if required
output onto another file with the desired header(s).

or do it on C# - easier, read 1 file, output to a new file with headers, read second file, append to file created

Hi

Ok I have the set up as

2 flat file sources
2 sorts
1 merge join
1 Flat File destination

This creates the file however does not pull in the data. I believe this is because the main join between the 2 source files is a field called "Call.ID"

In the 2 files however the Call.ID have different formats for the files

Source 1 is 3347262
Source 2 is 11003347262

So I believe I need to somehow trim the source 2 file to match source 1. Is this possible in the process I have at the moment and if so where can I achieve this (in the sort or merge join perhaps?)

Thanks
