I have CE10 installed on a W2003 server. I have a report that retrieves more than 2.5 million records. When I schedule the report and run it for 3 months, it succeeds. When I set the parameters to 5 months, it fails. I have watched the temp file in the reportjobserver folder and it grows to about 450MB then disappears. In the Task Manager, the JobServerChild appears and will increase in memory usage to 1GB and eventually hog resources. (I have noted similar activity with the Pageserver also.) If I quit the browser, the JobServerChild will continue in the same manner manner and at some point later crash the server. I would then have low memory resource errors in the Event viewer. What is causing the temp file to disappear and why is keeping the jobserverchild continuing to grow instead of releasing the data when the application is closed?

Hi,

I think you're experiencing the "pig factor".

See thread782-863102 for more details.

I still haven't figured it out.

Nuffsaid.

This problem was resolved by redesigning the report and removing the complex logic that was requiring VM space to do the processing.
