We just had to have the Seagate tape device in our server replaced. Exact replacement was not available, so we now have a SONY drive. After change the drive worked fine but the jobs that had previously run automatically would not start without manual intervention. I noticed that the new Device was in Group1 rather than the previous Group0, so I "moved" it (took it out of Group1, added it to Group0, deleted Group1). Unfortunately, last night's job is still stuck firmly in "HOLD" status. It's scheduled to run at 23.00, so I wasn't here to see it, but whehn I left it was "READY".
I highlighted it in the job list, clicked modify, and changed the schedule setting to Run Now. Lo and behold, it's now running.
What do I have to do to get the scheduled jobs to run at the appointed time, and not to go into "HOLD" state?
