Job's state always in Calculating Session

Hello everybody,

we have a problem with some jobs that try to maker a backup from a file server (windows 2003 server).
After we update the file server with SP1, all the jobs that try to make backup from this server don't finish, are always in "calculating session..." state.

I have ARCServe r11.1 without any update.

i updated ARCServe with:

QO63594 119 MB 01/27/05 NT -BAB R11.1 SERVICE PACK 1 - ENGLISH

and

QO68139 17.9 MB 05/23/05 NT -WINDOWS 2003 SP 1 SUPPORT UPDATE

and i have the same problem always, and now i have one more problem, because when i try to configure Tape Library i have to do a login in the server but the login still fails, and before this process of login never fails.

why apply sp1 when sp2 is available and includes the win2003 SP1 compatibility updates that are probably address the root cause here anyway?

the problem with authentication disappeared.

I updated SP1 and then the other update, because we want to update step by step...

do you think that this could be a problem?.

Not really, but you are just making more work for yourself. SP2 includes both of those patches.
