This should be quite simple. I have spent 4 hours trying to figure it out.
I am trying to export sql view to an excel file and it is failing because of the login sa.

These are the steps to export.
Using Sql Server 2005
1 - Used Import Export wizard in sql
2 - logged in as sa + pasword
3 - Saved it in sql server
4 - name : export2Excel
5 - worked fine on my workstation.

Now I go to schedule a job
- I initiate all the necessarry steps
- login sa+password
- saved ok

Now when I go to start the job, it is failing because it is giving me an eroro login failed on the server. I checked the password and it is working ok.

Please advice
Thank you

The default settings will save the password encrypted with your credentials, which are different than the context in which SQL Server Agent runs. So either encrypt sensitive information with a password, use configurations, or use integrated security. Integrated security should work well if you are deploying your package to your database source server. Also, never use SA for things like SSIS. SA should see very limited use.
