A couple of days ago I applied 3 fix packs into db2 7.1 working on AIX platform. The fixpacks didn't work well.db2 didn't start and we couldn't active our databases.
After that we tried various processes finally we dropped our instances, recreated them. Set up our databases from back up.Also we can communicate db2 from both command and control center.(Everything seems normal.)

BUT we have a problem of recurring jobs. They are never activated by the database manager. We succesfully insert the jobs and can see the list from the pending jobs tabs from the journal section, but when the execution time comes nothing happens. The job disappears from pending jobs(that is normal) but we can't see it neither the runnig nor the result section(that is NOT normal of course). It goes away though I don't know where.

In the db2diag.log I didn't notice a message about those.

Also there are some things I must say for the syptom of the problem. When we restart our server db2 does start some processes but db2admin doesn't start automatically. We have to run it manually.I think that some other required service(s)
is/aren't working.

I have 2 questions for you. What processes should be working in AIX platform when the server initializes? In that way I can find out if there is any missing service?

Second question is what else could I do to reactivate my jobs again? (By the way. When I select "Run now" nothing happens.

Thanks for spending time to my urgent problem.
