Job still outstanding

I have planned a backup which should be started every night but when I arrive again in the morning nothing has been backed up. There get the error that the job is still outstanding. I also put data the right cartridges in the specified streamer. There is still a connection. I think it's a difficult problem because there is nothing happening. The job can't be started. What can I do?
