I have an SQL 7.0 Server that shows the status of the job as 'executing job step 1', even after the job has completed. This is a scheduled job that was kicked of at 12:00 am. The job will not run again, it tells me the job is already running. I have to start and stop the server in order to release the job. Has any body had a similiar problem? How did you fix it? This is a production box and cannot be brought down on a constant basis.
