My problem is that I have an Dell poweredge 4100, Quantum DLT8000, AIC7880 scsi controller, Arcserve 6.6 SP4, and Novell 5.1 Sp3 and my problem is that when I attempt to start a backup the system will format the tape ok (no errors) and the just stop at 0% complete and never even send another SCSI signal to the tape drive (displayed in tapesvr log) So far CA support is helpless, I've sent them all of my logs to show what is occurring and still they have nothing. Also no errors are displayed in arcserve on a ASTART6 or when the job is run.

Are you running the latest SCSI drivers, latest firmware on both SCSI card and DLT drive, and is there any specific or wierd error messages in TAPE$SVR.LOG? -----------------------------------------------------
