Weird Issue.

We had a selection list defined, but no associated job. We rebooted the server, and within an hour somehow a job was both created and started running based on the selection list. The selection list was for a one time job we did a little less than a month ago, that at the time was scheduled to 'run now'. Has anyone ever seen the "magically appearing" job before? It ended up crashing an Oracle database on us. We really want to find out what has happened here.

Veritas BE 9.1 on Win 2003 sp1

Thanks for any tips.

someone else has access to the server or a remote workstation or batch file could be submitting a job using teh bemcmd command line utility

Another thought is that either in the job setup or job monitor you have filters turned on to only view certain jobs and the job is there just your filtering it out of you view and it ran and you found it in job history after it tried to run.

Sure, when someone else is remotely using the machine.
