I have managed to set up passthrough printing for telnet emulation connectivity to AIX 4.3.3.
This is through a virtual printer configured to use the terminfo for variable term types. The file for the virtual printer device gets linked to the pts/nnn pseudo terminal id.
The problem is that only 80 column by 80 line documents print.
No landscape, no font size changes, etc. The controls are generated by the application and work just fine in passthrough printing when connected by a modem. This has a static ttynnn id rather than the pts/nnn id. The main command used is qprnt.
So, the big question is: How to configure the queue in a manner that will allow controlling the print jobs?
