Job Configuration for appending

I have a client that has very little data and a 40/80 tape drive. I want to use a differential based backup and only change the tape once per week. I've tried doing this before on Arcserve and had trouble. Could anyone recommend the easiest way to configure Arcserve to run a full backup then append daily diffs to that same tape all week?

In options for the job select append to media, and select append to media on the schedule screen were you select your rotation.
