Job Codes in Aloha TS

Hey,

I have a site that every so often the "Order Entry" check gets cleared under my Bartender and Togo job codes. This is under the job code screen under maintenance. It just disappears and then the people with those job codes cannot use cash drawers or anything else that needs the "Order Entry" rights.

I am using 5.3.19 TS and it has been pretty solid but just lately it has started doing these things.

Any ideas?

I'd say rebuild the index files, they are probably corrupt.

Which index files and how does one rebuild them? Is this basically a database upgrade using the same version of software?

Delete the .cdx and .tdx files in the NEWDATA folder. When you open Aloha Manager again it will rebuild them. Yes it's basically doing a database upgrade with the "Upgrade .dbf index files" checked. This way makes sure it's recreated from scratch though.

Sometimes I see this if you have Remote Aloha Manager running on another machine on the network. For whatever reason the settings get jumbled up sometimes depending on where you open Aloha Manager from. Might not apply to you but would be a good place to check if it keeps happening and you are running this config.
