Greetings,

I have tried posting this question on different boards to try finding somebody that might have had an experience..

My company is currently looking for a Jobscheduler. There are some on the market that we are evaluating, however quite expensive and require you to purchase specific DB; are not integrated into SAP, etc.

Apart from other offers, we've come accross this German Jobscheduler called BatchMan ( Anybody had any experience with them?

They seem to provide for only 25.000 $ (no other costs) a license for 1 full SAP system. It seems to be the most competitive in pricing what we've got so far from other vendors

I would appreciate your POV.

Thanks GEi

Dear Gei,

Our company is using BatchMan and implemented it about 1 year ago. As you have mentioned, we have gone through a deep analysis of potential vendors out there. We've found out that BatchMan was indeed the right product covering our needs.

As seen in other places, we agree that Redwood's free version is actually not free (be carefull not to fall in their marketing blog/trap)

The full version price (which actually Redwood will drive you to use it) comes at a very high price whilst their licensing model is performed on a per process basis server.

For BatchMan we paid about 25.000 $ for our whole system. Connections to other systems is pretty easy and comes at a fair deal price (you will not reach the 100.000 $ level from Redwood).

Also keep in mind that BatchMan was installed in 1 day at our location and 1 day training. Moreover, we didn't require extra hardware or any other IT infrastructure. Just the SAP landscape...(which made it extremely easy)

Hello,

We are using BMC Control-M for batch processing. It was a bit difficult to install and configure, but everybody here is very pleased with the product: easy to use, no downtime, flexible,...

Don't know about the price, I'm just a sysadmin. There's a module for SAP Job scheduling and monitoring, so take a look at

Good luck!
