Hello,

I use ArcServe 2000 SP4 on Windows2000 SP2.
The job is active (merge) but not running. I try to stop it: "Cannot stop this job"...even after rebooting server or stopping job engine.

Thank you for your help

Fredje

There are a couple of other threads in the forum about this...

The easiest way I found was to stop all the Arcserve services and delete the contents of the ARCSERVE\00000001.qsd folder and then re-create all your jobs. You may want to modify the jobs that aren't hung and save them somewhere so that all you need to do is ADD them back in the Job Status window as opposed to re-creating them from scratch.

I thank you for answer.;o) I'll test it!!

I've seen after posting the other threads...
So, sorry for this.

It work! Thank you a lot!!

At this time have CA developped a solution to prevent this corruption?

Just FYI, I had a similar problem, when I stopped a job in progress, it just stuck at "Stopping job...". I had applied the fix that speshalyst mentions above before this occured and rebooted. I had to reboot my server in order to get it to actually end the job (it showed as HOLD after the reboot).
