I get this on 2 workstations. One is 98 & one is w2k. Server is novell 5.1 w/psql2000i sp3. I found 2 docs @ macola website & neither of them fixes the problem.

I've tried re-installing client (can only repair or remove). Tried to remove & reinstall, but still can only repair. Tried running the cobol run time install from the fujitsu folder. Tried installing the cobol85.zip from macola's website. Does this on both pwe & standard progression.

One of the documents I found talk about registering the ole dll's

"JMP0097I-U-RUN-TIME System is not installed properly."

This error may be caused by one or more of the OLE dll files not being properly registered on the workstation, causing the Progression client to not install properly.

Delete the Macola key from the registry, the Macola shared folder, and reboot the PC.

To register all dll files in a folder on the workstation, complete the following steps:

At a DOS prompt, change directories to C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\OLE DB
At the C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\OLE DB> prompt, type: for %1 in (*.dll) do regsvr32 %1
Note: Not all DLL files will register and you may get an error message. Click ok and continue.
A message stating the DLL files were registered successfully will be displayed.
Shut down and restart the machine.
Run the Progression client install and reboot the PC again when prompted.

Kevin, the doc you are referencing is the one that didn't work. Turns out you can forget win98 unless it has the latest OS patches. We're turning it into a boat anchor & replacing ASAP. The win2k machine has sp1, so we are trying windows updates to see if that does anything. Also, there is a 9/23/03 printing patch in the downloads section of the website that I wasn't aware of. I have downloaded & installed it & am waiting to see how many printing problems we still have left on the win2k. The registering of the dlls didn't work, but copying the cobol85.zip & unzipping LOCALLY did fix the jump error on win2k. Now I just have to get the silly thing to print to screen & print from a spooled disk file.

Another FYI. I installed 7.6.200 fresh on sql2000/win2k sp4 today & have to run the macola client also from the sql server to test conversion, etc as they don't have a spare machine in the building. That seems to be running okay in both pwe & standard progression.

I had to install the pervasive workstation engine on this same server & the pervasive 7.6.200. Applied all patches. Copied my data over from my novell 4.1 server 103f pervasive 2000i sp3. I am getting these jump errors (don't have the exact message at my fingertips) referencing hzcomemp.dll which doesn't exist in either sql or pervasive macola\bin folders. This happens when I try to view mrp end item pegging or multilevel pegging. I've searched macola's website w/o success. I have to move these people up to 7.6.200 sql in order to get the fixes they need for using lot & multibin together. Since they don't have a spare machine to use for testing & since I can't put 7.6.200 on the old netware server, I really must try to do the btrieve/sql side by side thing on the server to do the conversion.

Any insights out there? I might try the register dll thing, but it is a different message, not referencing the run time install not properly installed. Thanks all.
