I have AS2K Adv ed,tape library option,& RAID option on Compaq ML530 with ADIC Scalar 100 and 6 LTO drives. The SCSI controllers are Compaq 64bit dual channel.
I have installed AS2K w/sp3 and configured the tape library. I followed the release notes and created 3 virtual libraries, 2 with 18 slots and the other with 24 slots. I then created 3 RAID 1 groups. When I try to run a test job to one of the raid groups, it asks for tapes.
I am used to creating device groups and assigning slots, but I have not found a way to assign slots to the raid group.
I am trying to create off-site backup tapes. In the past, I used TAPECOPY with DLT, but that is way to slow for the larger LTO.
I have found nothing more descriptive than the release notes on the CA site.
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
