Had an issue recently with two (soon to be three I think) faulty of the above. One was in a printer and the other two are in hp digital senders. Just wondering if anyone knew of this being a known issue with HP and am I likely to suffer more failures with a further 5-10 615N cards that I have in various devices !

what's going on with them?
 
just general rubbishness - loose connections at nic port or stop working, have reseated several times, tried in different devices to make sure it isn't the printer/digital sender ?

 
you may want to check the communication speeds that they are communicating at. You may want to try configuring a static 100full on both the JD and the Switch. They maybe having a communication argument regarding speeds.
 
there's a known issue with the 615n's you need to call 1800hpinvent and ask to talk to the jetdirect group, have the serial number of the card avaiable.

 
HP has a known issue with these, and will replace them with the 620, a much more reliable card. Check the website for info, or contact a local HP ASP for help. Like I said, HP is replacing these free of charge through Oct. 31 of 2005. Have them look up Service Info ID #3390 on the Channel Services Network...
