jetadmin problems

SUN SOLARIS 2.6

Hi i am having a problem with a printer on one of our unix box's

when i try and felete the printer it says:
unknown printer


Cannot delete vgchq2!

so when i try and add it again it says
printer already exists, use another name!!!

I am aware i could set it up with another name, bt this is not convenient due to application Oracle which references host name!!

Any clues

delete it from the /etc/printers.conf file first and make sure lpc does not see it. Then delete it out of jetadmin. Try to add it back then. good luck!
