Hi,

Every morning I have an advertisment on my computer from JetAd Pro. I found some information on the program and it said that it could deliver messages to anyone using Windows XP or Windows 2000. Is this a security flaw in Windows or do I have some sort of spyware on my computer that I cannot find? Any help getting rid of these annoying messages would be greatly apprieciated.

These messages appear through the Windows Messaging service. Most people do not need it, so the direct way to end the advertisements is to right-Click My Computer, Manage, Services, Services, scroll down to Windows Messaging Service, Stop it. Disable it.

Blocking through a firewall is possible but may not always work. You would make certain you block incoming traffic from the WAN side on ports 135-139.
