I have an access database that was working fine yesterday when I came in this morning and tried to open the database I get "The Microsoft Jet Database Engine could not find the object 'database'.Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly.
I tried to cpmpact and it failed. Please help!!!!!!!!

Well.. some general suggestions.
1. Restore from the latest WinZip backup or Network backup. If there is no backup available, you should start the practice moving forward.
2. Try to use MS Access XP to compact and repair. I've had issues under MS Access 2K and using XP to repair appeared to fix them. There are also some 3rd party tools to perform repair tasks, I've never used any of them personally.
3. Create a new empty database. Import all the objects from the corrupt database. Cross your fingers.
