Jet Database Engine Error

Hi,
Im using MS Access 2000 working on a database in my laptop while im mobile. When i get home, i copy the .mdb file to my desktop 'cause im more comfortable using a desktop to continue working on the .mdb file.
But i got this error and cannot open the file in the desktop:
"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time. (Error 3197)"
Please help what i should do.

Any help please.
I still have the file in my laptop and it works so i would be able to fix it if i know what to do like how to save it etc.
But i would like to transfer/copy it to my desktop and be able to run it there.
