I am using a Jeditorpane and adding text from a server. I want to use html to change font color/background etc. When I setText at the first, html is fine, but later when I add more text to the Jeditorpane it is not rendered. Can someone please suggest how I can work around this problem?

what do you mean add more text ? What specific function(s) are you using?
did you try calling Container.invalidate() after setting or replacing the new text?
Also if you pass bad HTML it will likely not render. Did you try loading the HTML your trying to set dynamically in the first place to see if it renders?
