JDeveloper 9.0.2 with CVS

I am using CVSNT 1.11.13 build 57i(server is local)
It works fine.
I was not too successful though hooking it up with JDeveloper.
I used the JDev help and did exactly up to point of setting up for importing projects. But could not do "Add" or "Update"
(An alert pops up saying it is not possible as I have not added the file to the repository...!!)
If anybody has done this pls share yr experience
