Anyone have this issue or a resolution other then re-install?

Our system need to have the NETWORK and Queue service on the production database server restarted on average every 6-12 hrs. On random times the oexplore cannot find the 'security server' and the only solution provided by the consultants is to shutdown the database and reboot.

I thought centralized newer computer systems were supposed to increase productivity not kill it.

Perhaps you should check that the service accounts are running with an account such as oneworld for example wiich has full admin rights to the system. Not as system account. This is assuming you are on NT. Also you might what to check the network connection on your deployment server for the security errors make sure there are no collicions or missconfig there as that might cause some issues.

If none of that works, you can schedule that automatic restart of the services using a batch file and the AT command. Just remember, there is an order to which one must be stopped first and which one needs to be started first. I believe the knowledge garden has a document stating that information.

Hope this helps.

We are currently implementing OneWorld XE. We are running are Enterprise Server on W2K. SO far things have been going really well but with one issue. When we add more queue processes the server crashes. Does anyone have any documenation for the proper way to configure W2K to support the JDE queue service.

Thanks.

Take a look at documentID oti-00-0110 on the Knowledge Garden. It has instructions for multiple batch queues and for multi-threading your queues.

Hi - I am no sure if this is the same as what you are experiencing. I have a user who gets a Oexplore error which reads that oexplore has generated and error and will shut down. This happens while she is busy in a sales appliction within JDE. The os is win2000 with Oracle. The shutting down of the network and queue service's on the production database server we have done and I do not think it is the answer.

It's a Network problem.

I wouldn't schedule a restart of services, as UBE's run under the JDEQueue services.

We had the same issue right after go live... we had to uninstall the Queue's then re-install them.
