We are currently using JDE One World B733.2. (We're upgrading to 8.10)

We have a need to purge. I am familiar with the purge tools in JDE, but I'm looking for a tool that will allow me to purge and restore the data when required.

i.e. purging F0911 and recovering it to run Finanical Reports for the auditors

Any tips?
Horror stories?

Thanks,

We don't purge our F0911, but we do on some other large tables. Make a table with identical structure but put a 9 or an H on the end of the table name (to indicate a history table). We have jobs that were written in VB that rnu on the Windows scheduler that run each night and move records from the Live table to the History table.

The problem is that you will either move records back into the Live table if the users need them or make changes to the ER of the applications to look at both tables during a search.
