Been awhile since I've been here.
On one of our client sites we are DTSing data to and from JDE running on AS400. The package works fine when executed manually but every now and then the job fails.
It seems as if the clients have messed up their sql server instances as the only way to fire a DTS pkg via a job is to use the dtsrun.exe with the full path.
Anyway I'm going to try plan B which is to setup a linked server to JDE. Does anyone has the syntax to use with sp_add_linkedserver for a JDE/AS400 connection?
Are there any funnies I should be aware of?
