Hi,

I've just upgraded to Windows 2000, but when i try to connect my Java app to an MS Access database i get the ODBC error message "System resource exceeded". I was using Windows ME before and everything worked fine then. I've tried reinstalling the Java SDK and also tried recreating the ODBC connection to the database, but to no avail.

Any ideas anyone?

Double check your indexes. I had this problem last night, and that appears to be it. Access ODBC driver doesn't appear to release odbc handles on a full table scan, and
if you have millions of rows, you'll run out of handles.

For this driver to behave properly, you might consider indexing any column that appears in a WHERE clause.

I traced on the ODBC side, and turned logging on in the DriverManager, and the problem seems to come straight from the ODBC driver. I wouldn't count on anyone to fix this.

Good luck.
