Hi all,
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.
Set up is this:

1) CR XI Server running on windows
2) Custom JDBC applicaton to get data from a DB, manipulate and for CR to connect to.
3) CR Reports created in CR XI
4) CRConfig.xml correctly configured.

Story is this:
I created my reports and had the JDBC app running on my local PC. I then loaded the reports onto CR server (leaving the JDBC app running on my PC) updated the process->databate to use custom DB) all worked ok, reports connect and ran fine.

I've now moved the JDBC app onto the server, where CR server resides, and I now get "failed to open connection" the whole time. I've checked everything I can think of - database source, CRConfig etc and they're all fine.

I know the JDBC app is running fine because submitting queries to it via dbVisuliser is producing the results I expect (If running dbVis on the server or another box)

What else is there I can try?

Many thanks

Mark

Hi,

I do not know the answer to your problem but I was interested to know if you wrote the custom JDBC driver yourself. I am trying to do the same thing and am having trouble getting it to connect to Crystal XI. Would you be able to give me any direction on getting to work ?

Thanks Ed
