Hi,

I have an install anywhere bundle that installs an application, including JBoss, on my Windows XP laptop.

When I go to start the application, using its own built in commands, everything works fine up until the point where it goes to start JBoss. When it attempts to do this I get an error saying:

The service name is invalid (Error 2185)

If I look in the deployed directory structure I can find a .bat file for Installing JBoss. If I change this a bit I can get JBoss to appear in the Services list under My Computer. However, it still will not run. When I go to start it using net start JBoss I get the error:

The service is not responding to the control function.

More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2186.

I have also tried to start it using Wrapper.exe -s wrapper.conf and continuously get the following (even when an empty wrapper.conf is supplied):

FATAL | wrapper | encountered a fatal error in Wrapper
FATAL | wrapper | exceptionCode = EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
FATAL | wrapper | exceptionFlag = EXCEPTION_NONCONTINUABLE_EXCEPTION
FATAL | wrapper | exceptionAddress = 00409066
FATAL | wrapper | Read access exception from 00000000
FATAL | wrapper | <-- Wrapper Stopping due to error

Can anyone tell me what is going wrong and how can I get this working correctly?

Thanks,

Tom
