I recently upgraded some of our terminals and one of the new Javelin Terminals came with a Customer Display attached. How do I set that up in Aloha? I messed with the Display Board options, but it just made that terminal not start up due to the wrong port being used. How do I determine what port it's on? Nothing about it in the Javelin manual I found on google either...

Thanks for the help

I'm most familiar with the Javelin LCP.

Anyway, make sure your bios settings in the Javelin are set correctly for the whatever port you would like to use (Com port number, IRQ, & Address). Then make sure Windows matches the same in the com port setup. If the display is powered by the com port, make sure the 5V is on in the bios as well.

The Aloha Mgr documentation has instructions on how to set up the ini file (i'm not near my system now to look it up for you). I believe you need to use the OPOS driver.

Retail Technology Group bought the rights to Javelin when they went belly up. (RTGPOS.COM) The OPOS driver is located under the support section. Additionally, they may be able to help you directly.

Let me know how you make out.
