javaw.exe error

I got a new laptop and when I went to install IP office on it. The System Status kept coming up with an error. If you experience this just wait for the system to browse for the file and then it asks you if you want the system to fix itself. Well of course Yes. If you are like me I just click on cancel and try something else. It wasn't until I let it set on one computer while I was searching Tech Tips for answers.
Hope it helps someone out there in Avaya Land.

HI Jerry.

1. Make sure you have Java installed.

If after installing Java the system status icon doesn't work, right click on the system status shortcut and select properties. Under the target, at the very end of the path, change ssaviewer.bat to ssaviewer.jar

Thanks for the info. My target says:
C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\javaw.exe -jar ssaviewer.jar
About Java says Ver 8 update 45 (build 1.8.0_45-b15)
So it looks like I'm all good.
