javascript with vbscript

I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do. Are you writting the rest of the code for the page in vbscript or javascript? Why do you need to call the javascript function from vbscript?
What I would try is calling the javascript function from the vbscript. Then if you need to create variables in both languages and use them in for loops to pass their values from javascript to vbscript.
If this is unwanted overhead then just go with one language. ************
