Javascript vs. DHTML

Can anyone explain the difference between DHTM and Javascript? They look the same to me from what I've seen. But no sites that I found said what the differences are, or even that they are different. Are they one and the same?

dhtml is simply using javascript to access and manipulate HTML via the DOM
