is there a JavaScript that you can put into a form field button so that when clicked it will automatically send an email to a pre-determined email address and attach the complete PDF document complete with all fields filled in as an email attachment? I'm not talking about sending just the data from the fields. Also must work with both Acrobat AND Reader.

thanks

Hi,

yes there is. In your acrobat Help pdf. Go to Form fields on page 167 there is a javascript that mails a form to a predestined email adress.

hope this helps

Don't think this works with Reader - then it would get round the restriction of not being able to save a filled in form - you could just email it to yourself.

I think you have to send the data and rebuild the form when it arrives. I think Acrobat Approval might let you email it. And there are some funny things out there on the internet that I think may get round this as well.

hi,

works just fine. You must have full acrobat to embed the javascript in the pdf. But then the form can be read in the reader and send from the reader. No problem.

I would be really grateful if you could send me a pdf that works like this because I can't get it to work, and all the official Adobe stuff says it doesn't.
Thanks

just give me an email adress and i post you a file somewhere this week. I'm rather busy at this moment.
