Hello,

I'm wondering if anybody knows any script that can be run in order to know if the web page is being viewed from the standard IE browser, or another container (for instance a VB app that uses the IE browser dll).

I have a site that needs to react differently depending on whether the user is accessing the page from a regular browser, or from a custom App.

Thanks for the space!

it is better to do that using ASP. this is the situation right?

u have a product, customer must access a different page
others must access a different page...

Known is handfull, Unknown is worldfull

vbkris,

Yes, the pages are ASP. I didn't think that ASP would matter because the page needs to know when it's on the client, not when it's being generated on the server.

Here's the scenario.

We have two user groups. One user group will come to our pages from the regular browser (Netscape, IE). The other user group will use a custom client application that uses the IE dll to show webpages.

Is there a way to know which is which?
