javascript permissions in IE 5.5 1

Okay, if I have a window.close() in a web page I am viewing, IE 4 & 5 used to ask me "The web page you are viewing is trying to close the window. Do you want to allow this?" Or something like that. IE 5.5 (My company's standard) just closes the browser, and I can't seem to find where you set javascript permissions....or any other permission that would prohibit automatically closing the window.
