Can I place javascripts in a DIV? I am new to this and don't know if I am missing something basic or what. If I place simple text in my DIV tags it displays fine but when I place a javascript (a dropdown menu in this case) inside them I get a cryptic:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site <address>
Operation aborted.

I am trying to get away from using tables and thought that DIV tags would be the way to go. I just need a way to postition javascipts on my page.

Thanks in advance

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

I put javascript into divs all the time. The error message you posted isn't a specific Javascript error... although it may very well have been caused by some "rogue" javascript on the page.

Post a URL or the code for the page... and we can take a peek!
