I have a page that brings up a pop up (under certain conditions). Now, when a user goes back to that page using Back button of the browser or a link on the page that uses history.back() the pop up come up again.
The problem is that pop up should only come up under certain conditions. I know that history.back uses history object and since the pop up is in the history thats why it pops it up. Is there any way to avoid it?

BillyRay,
thanks again for your responses.
I actually use cookies on the site (from asp.net code behind)
The problem is when I click back page of the browser, pop up displays and the code does nto even go into the cookie checking section. Its like it is just displaying history no matter what
